I admit though that if you're a healer and not prot (like I play PvE, healers are boring), you might want WoH instead of E-Drain or Recall. In those cases Energy Tap works just as good as E-Drain. You're probably not subject to interrupters in the same way.

Either way, I suggest bringing some energy management skills. Will help you lots.
The only ones I have are Blessed signet, Divine Boon and Divine Spirit.
As soon as the pesky mesmer is out of my sight, cast Blessed Signet. Than I cast Divine Sipirit, and after 10 secs of casting Orison and Dwayna's (Every 2 secs), I am already at full energy again. I wished I had Word of Healing, but that one is still way out of my reach.
Still, I consider this built talk way off topic

The easiest way to think of how the game keeps track of energy (and health for that matter) is that isn't not X energy out of Y max energy, but instead Y max energy with X energy missing.

with my 55, i also use Essence Bond and BaLTHAZAR spirit. (evry time you take damage you gain 1 enargy) as 55 mnk i cast it on myself, but a few times i noticed it may be useful to cast it on some aggresive tank who takes alot of SMALL damages, and after fight over or if hes not taking as much damage (if thers 2 monsters left etc) just remove it. like this as long as hes aggro target youre never short of energy and can heal with no stress. the main thing here is to know when to REMOVE it, so gotta wach how much aggro hes taking. i tried a few times in Sorros Furnace. i was castin it on/off on our stance tank while he was enchanted by our bonder, so he wasnt takin too big of a damage, but he turned into a good battery for me. :P

There's also the -energy items which are very useful for monks. Most people don't know why, and I'm not going to tell you either, sorry.
